Second Thursday of each month  —  Second Harvest Food Distribution
Catholic Charities & the St. Vincent De Paul society coordinate a monthly food distribution from Second Harvest in the Fort Atkinson Area. Food is distributed from 2:30-4p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. simply bring containers to carry the food home in. This event is open to all in need.

The Hoard Museum celebrates the season by announcing a new exhibit. The museum will showcase 16 historical quilts from its extensive collection. "A Day of Reading" is a day-long reading marathon at area libraries to promote reading and raise awareness about community members who struggle with literacy challenges every day. Local "celebrities" will read aloud for the first 5-10 minutes of each hour. Fort "celebs" include poet Patrick Moran, environmentalist Beth Gehred and Crossroads Alternative High School instructor Jude Hartwick.
